Public Right-of-Way Maintenance

The right-of-way maintenance program involves maintenance of physical features in the Village with the exception of trees, streetlights and storm sewers.

The division is responsible for:
  • Stop signs
  • Street signs
  • Barricades
  • Gravel placement on road shoulders (for safety reasons to protect the road)
  • Potholes
If you discover a stop sign down or damaged or your street sign is missing or damaged, please contact the Public Works Division at 847-540-1696.

The division refers to the Manual on Uniform and Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), which governs guidelines for all Illinois traffic signs.
