Styrofoam Recycling
The Village of Lake Zurich's styrofoam recycling pilot program last year was a success and we have already collected six semi-trailers full of foam that has been diverted from the landfills. The dropped off styrofoam is melted down and turned into new products at a facility in the western Chicago suburbs.
Collection is in the parking lot of the American Legion, 51 Lions Drive, on Tuesday from Noon to 2 pm and Friday from 9 am to 11 am.
We do not accept grocery/plastic bags, only styrofoam.
