Paulus Park Message Board

The digital message board located at Paulus Park displays information on community events that have a direct connection with the Village or are related to a public safety situation. Specific entities & events that may request information to be displayed given availability:

  • Village of Lake Zurich
  • Events taking place on Village property
  • District 95 announcements
  • Ela Township announcements
  • Ela Area Public Library announcements

Park Memorial Programs

There are several ways that you can remember someone and improve your neighborhood or community park. The Village of Lake Zurich offers a memorial program for trees and benches. For information, call 847-438-5146. 

  • Trees - The “Giving Tree” program is for those who want to commemorate a date, person, event or organization. All trees are planted in Village Parks.
  • Benches - A memorial park bench can be donated at any of our park sites (exception of the Promenade). Memorial plaque on the bench included.

Personal Non-Motorized Watercraft Usage

Use your personal watercraft on Lake Zurich with our easy to use 1-Day Pass for $5 or the $50 season pass good from April 1st through October 1st. Both are available at the Paulus Park Barn or Beach Gatehouse. You may purchase the season pass online. Click here for more information.

Resident registration for Day Camp begins at 5 pm on February 8th online through RecTrac. Non-resident camp registration begins at midnight on March 2nd online through RecTrac.

  • Lake Zurich Residents: Sunday, February 8, 2026, 5 pm (Fee R)
  • Non-Residents: Monday, March 2, 2026, midnight (Fee NR)

General Program registration start:

  • Lake Zurich Residents: Sunday, February 8, 2026, 5 pm (Fee R)

New Programming Opportunity

Are you a local recreational business or independent contractor with a talent, program or service that you would like to bring to your community? If so, you may be interested in becoming an Independent Contractor with the Village of Lake Zurich Park & Recreation Department. 

We are always excited about the possibility of partnering with other community organizations and individuals to reach our common goals and serve our community. The Park & Recreation Department offers a variety of classes and activities amongst our numerous parks/ facilities and utilizes numerous independent contractors to provide recreation services to our community.

Please view our Independent Contractor Guide which allows service providers to acquaint themselves with the Village of Lake Zurich, program expectations, and the process of becoming an Independent Contractor for the Park and Recreation Department.

Investing in our parks demonstrates our community's dedication to preserving, protecting and improving natural green spaces throughout Lake Zurich. 

The Give Where You Live program provides additional donation opportunities that would further support the parks, natural areas, recreation programs and recreation participants in need in our community.
