Consistency is expected in skills at each level. Consistency means executing each skill at least 10 times in a row.

Pre-

• Cross touch Battement front
• Alternating chasses (no arms) Step touch
• Can follow classroom directions Can attend classes without a parent
• Shows interest in taking more dance classes Able to participate in more than one dance recital

Mini-

Everything from Pre plus:

• Chasse with alternating arms Side chasse ball change Jazz walks
• 3 step turn
• Kick ball change Jazz Square Single Pirouette
• Battement front and back
• Understanding of an 8 count and musicality Beginning understanding of Pas de bourrée Applies corrections

Petite-

Everything from Pre and Mini level plus:

• Chasse step leap Chasse ball change Chaine Right and Left
• Single pirouette en dehors
• Turning Battements
• Pas de bourrée with arms Jazz walks
• Splits
• Ability to grasp and remember choreography
• Able to attend longer rehearsals and weekend long conventions and competitions Understanding of stage presence and able to execute
• Consistent execution of Choreography
• Beginning to show maturity and understanding of seriousness of rehearsals

Junior-

Continue skills from Petite

• Alternating chasse into pivot turn
• Pirouette en dehors – clean double Right/Left Pirouette en dedans
• Chasse step leap- continuous
• Can combine a turning sequence across the floor
• Can combine turning sequence into jumps across floor Pas de Bourree turns across floor
• Has understanding of direction changes Turning Battement combinations
• Moving into and out of floor work with ease Center leap with recovery
• Executes stage presence without being told
• Beginning to show leadership skills when required/requested

• They take responsibility for knowing choreography and spacing, and support younger dancers with encouragement and support.
• They understand that a dancer can plateau, and they work to push past it.
• They do not make excuses; they push through challenging choreography and decisions they do not agree with.
• They are the ultimate team player, knowing what is expected to be the best they can be while supporting others on their journey to greatness.
