Sergeant Bard Hoops started his career with the Lake Zurich Police Department as a patrol office on December 28, 1996, and has served as a traffic officer, bike unit officer, field training officer, school resource officer, and as Patrol Sergeant. Deputy Chief Johnson started his career with the Lake Zurich Police Department as a patrol officer on June 22, 1995, and has served as a Detective, Sergeant, Commander, and Deputy Chief. The Village of Lake Zurich recognizes the contributions Mr. Johnson has made to the Lake Zurich community. April 2024 ~ Honoring Resident Allan Titov on Being Ranked the #1 National Judo Champion ~ proclaimed 4/1/2024
Allan Titov has been training in the art of judo martial arts leading him to compete at the U.S. Open & Junior Olympic Judo Championships. He has been ranked the #1 National Judo Champion in his age and weight divisions. The Village of Lake Zurich recognizes the success of Alan Titov and his continued quest to represent Team USA at the 2028 Olympics. Proclamation.

On March 2, 2022, Mr. Casey Komperda was in cardiac distress. Fortunately, he was assisted by Miss Alex Schroth and Mr. John Hintermeister, who were both nearby and immediately began high-quality CPR on Casey.
