Village issues most concerned with

    • Engaging the community with civil discussions and positive energy to find common solutions we can make reality. 
    • Sustaining and improving Lake Zurich's financial and economic health, continuing to approve balanced budgets and boost public safety pension funding.
    • The continued refinement and updating of long-range plans, such as the Comprehensive Plan and 20-year Community Investment Plan. 
    • Controlling growth and improving the overall aesthetic look of the community by creative and long-term planning and infrastructure improvement.
    • Improve local cultural events such as Rock the Block, the Water Lantern Festival, and Alpine Fest.  
    • The continued establishment of green initiatives, including new lighting ordinances, Kuechmann Arboretum, the 100% Green Choice Power program, and the Green Business Awards.
    • Increasing the Village’s already high level of customer service and high levels of communication between the board, committees, staff and the community.
