Can I expand my driveway?
It depends. Driveways may not be within 3' of side lot line and not more than 20' wide at public right of way and a maximum of 24' at the back of the curb. An existing residential driveway entrance that exceeds these measurements may be maintained, repaired, and replaced at its current width if, but only if, the driveway entrance complied at the time of its original installation as indicated on a plat of survey with applicable provisions of the Land Development Code and the Lake Zurich Zoning Code.

Do I need a fence around my pool?
Yes. Every pool located on a lot used for residential purposes shall be completely enclosed by a fence five feet in height above grade of any walking surface such as decks, steps, ladders or platforms with suitable gates and self-closing, self-latching devices. Any access to the pool and point of entry to the pool must have a 5’ barrier.

How do I schedule an inspection?
We require 24 hours advance notice prior to inspections. Please call 847-540-1696 to schedule your inspection. Please have your permit number on hand when you call. If you cannot make your inspection, please call and cancel prior to your inspection time to avoid being charged a re-inspection fee.
