Mayor Poynton On The Revised Stay-At-Home Order
Dear Lake Zurich Business Community Member,
As you know, Governor Pritzker recently issued Executive Order 2020-32. This is a new Stay at Home Order for essential businesses and operations in the State of Illinois. Please note in the attached summary of the new order from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, some businesses and activities will be allowed to increase services and operations. The summary also provides guidance for social distancing for essential stores, prerequisites for manufacturers, and requirements for all businesses in addition to an extensive list responses to questions many of you may have.
The new executive order still places considerable constraints on our business community, it will hopefully provide momentum, albeit limited, to regain a portion the lost commerce most of you have experienced over the past two months.
Lake Zurich cannot emphasize enough the importance of your business to our Village. We will continue to do everything we can to assist you in this challenging time. Please do not hesitate to contact me or Assistant Village Manager Roy Witherow at 847-540-1758 or Roy.Witherow@LakeZurich.org with any questions you may have regarding the new Stay at Home Order or any other issue of importance impacting your business.
Sincerely,
Tom Poynton, Mayor
