Health & Wellness Program

The Village of Lake Zurich offers a variety of health and wellness programs for our community.

A current listing of offerings can be found in our seasonal program brochure, viewed on-line or can be picked up at the Paulus Park Barn. 

Classes must achieve minimum enrollment standards to run so make sure to register early. Ages 12 and up may attend fitness classes when accompanied by an adult.  All classes subject to change.

Beginning Meditation Series

In this four week series, you will learn the best meditative posture for your body, how to identify and stay with your breath, and how to quiet your mind. By the last class you will have learned how to develop and commit to your home practice. We will be focusing on mindfulness meditation every week in addition to practicing three alternative forms of meditation. Come find out what the benefits will be for you.

Introductory Level Yoga and Sound Therapy

AGES: 18+ YEARS OLD
Participants will learn foundational yoga postures and poses that are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated.

Introductory Family Yoga and Sound Therapy

AGES: 4 YEARS OLD WITH PARENT/GUARDIAN
Participants will learn foundational yoga postures and poses that are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Fun for the whole family.

Adult Golf Lessons

AGES: ADULTS/HS+
Learn basic golf skills including full swing, chipping and putting. Golf rules and etiquette will also be discussed. Lessons are taught in a small group by a PGA Golf Pro.

Muscle Up

Use your own bodyweight to challenge and strengthen all the major muscles of the body, as well as the core. Compound exercises will be used to engage as many muscles as possible in a single move, making the most of our 45 minutes together. Modifications and challenges will be offered to make the class appropriate for all levels. Get in, Get it done. Get on with your day!
