You have the chance to meet our compassionate and enthusiastic preschool teachers during the open house. Our experienced teachers implement curriculum that incorporates Illinois Early Learning Standards and District 95’s Jolly Phonics.

2017-2018 School Year
Yellow Brick Road Preschool School(ages 2-5 years old)
We believe the preschool years are the most important time in a child’s academic and social development. For over 30 years, we have been dedicated to helping children discover their love of learning while developing the values and social skills required to excel throughout life. We share the desire to provide the best possible start for your child. Our goal is to create a warm and nurturing environment that helps children progress to their fullest potential. Our program uses the Jolly Phonics Curriculum to introduce phonics early.

Open enrollment begins Monday, February 6th at Paulus Park Barn. Please stop by in person to secure your child’s spot for the 2017-2018 preschool. Click on the Parent Handbook and Registration Form links.
Priority Registration 2017-18 School Year
Families with children currently enrolled in in our program will have priority over new families. Priority Registration for our current students begins on Monday,January 16th and ends on Friday, February 5.

How to Register
- Deposit and registration must be done in person at the Paulus Park Barn beginning February 6th.
- $25 nonrefundable registration fee is due upon registration.
- First tuition is due on the first of the month beginning September 1, 2017.
- Subsequent payments are due on the first of each month beginning on September 1-May 1.
- Tuition is based on the total number of school days in the school year divided into nine equal installments.
- Tuition payments are nonrefundable, non-transferable and may not be prorated.
- Tuition paid in full prior to September 1, 2017, will receive a 5% discount.

Terrific Two’s(2 by 9/1/17)
New – 9-month program
This class is a “stepping stone” designed to help your child adjust and prepare for enrollment in preschool. Our staff will gently care for the needs of your little ones so they can move into a preschool setting with ease and positive attitudes about learning, socializing, and interaction with others. Children will be involved in active and quiet play including crafts, games, stories, and songs with new activities every week. Please bring a snack and a drink. A $25 nonrefundable registration fee is required at the time of registration.
Note: Pull-ups are permissible; staff does not change children during class.
Just For Me Almost Three(Turn 3 by 9/1/17-12/31/17)
Our “Just For Me Almost Three” is a two day a week program where your child can interact and learn with other children his or her own age. This class is an introductory preschool program that will help foster socialization and learning in a fun, safe, and caring environment. Emphasis is on social skills, separation from parent, learning to share, take turns, and independence. Daily activities include art, dramatic play, and large motor play. Stories, songs, and FUN! The children will be introduced to colors, shapes, numbers and counting, letters, spatial relations.
3-year-old Preschool(3 by 9/1/17)
The threes program gives your child a great educational start. The focus in this class is social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Activities include circle time, calendar, colors, shapes, pre-writing, gross, and fine motor skills. Must be potty trained.
(4 by 9/1/17)
The fours program has been developed to meet the specific skills needed in preparing a child for Kindergarten. Our program is challenging and ever expanding. It includes readiness in reading (we use the Jolly Phonics Program), literature, writing, math, science, art, music, listening/speaking, gross/fine motor skills, social, and emotional readiness. The fours also follow the “Handwriting Without Tears” curriculum for writing, math, and literacy.
Pre-K(5 by 12/31/17)
This enriching 4 day a week class is perfect for the children who miss the September 1st age requirement for Kindergarten or for those children with summer birthdays. The Pre-K program has been developed to meet the specific skills needed to prepare a child for Kindergarten. This program includes reading readiness (including the Jolly Phonics curriculum), literature, writing (including Handwriting without Tears curriculum), math, science, social science, art, music, gross and fine motor skills, and social/ emotional and listening/speaking skills. We also spend time learning about our world and its inhabitants, from our past to our present and from space to oceans.
