Village Clerk

The village clerk is the keeper of the village seal, all records and papers, and is the agent for publications of notices to comply with our Open Meetings Act. The village clerk is a deputy registrar for voters and records legal documents pertaining to tax levies and properties. The village clerk attends village board meetings to keep a record of its proceedings. Office responsibilities are handled by the Village Manager's Office and Deputy Village Clerk.

April 2, 2019 Consolidated Election

Candidates for the April 2019 Consolidated Election may pick up nomination packets beginning on September 17, 2018 at the Office of the Village Clerk, 70 East Main Street, Lake Zurich, IL.

Candidates may not begin to circulate nomination papers for signatures until September 18, 2018.                            

The 2019 Candidates Guide is a good reference for running for local office.

The Office of the Village Clerk will be open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm beginning December 10, 2018 through December 14, 2018 for the purpose of accepting candidate petitions.           

The Office of the Clerk will also be open on December 17, 2018 from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm for the purpose of accepting candidate petitions for the Consolidated Election for the following offices:                             

      Village Board Trustee (3 positions)          

      * Independent Candidates Packet
      * New Political Party Packet
